Florida is a municipality belonging to the Southern Province and the Cali Metropolitan Area. Its main source of economy is the sugarcane agroindustry, accounting for 80%, followed by sugarcane cultivation itself; the lands of Florida are also home to crops of coffee, plantain, soybeans, cacao, and corn. It has major tributaries such as the Frayle River and the Párraga River, which borders the municipality of Pradera, among others.
