Sevilla, the Balcony of Valle del Cauca

Sevilla: This municipality is located in the highest part of the department, in the eastern subregion of Valle del Cauca, and offers a beautiful view over much of the department’s municipalities. It also lies within the Colombian Paisa Region and the Coffee Axis (Eje Cafetero), with most of its territory being mountainous, its terrain corresponding to the western slope of the Cordillera Central of the Andes. This municipality has all thermal floors, which gives it great agricultural wealth; a wide variety of crops are grown, such as coffee, plantain, banana, and citrus fruits, with agriculture as its main economic driver.

Other names Capital Cafetera de Colombia, Capital de la Cultura y la Inteligencia del Valle del Cauca (Coffee Capital of Colombia, Capital of Culture and Intelligence of Valle del Cauca)
