Dagua, the Pineapple Capital

Dagua’s economy is centered on agriculture, producing crops such as pineapple, panela cane, coffee, fruit, corn, plantain, cacao, and beans, with pineapple having become the municipality’s most important product. Livestock farming, forestry, poultry farming, and milk and dairy production are also important, since this municipality has a variety of climates and soils that allow it to carry out these agricultural activities, gaining not only economic benefits but also recognition for the quality of its products. Its terrain features deep ravines and peaks that give it a wide climatic diversity.
