About Federico Carlos Lehmann Natural Science Museum, Cali

Status after the earthquake (checked on September 27, 2026): the museum is temporarily closed. INCIVA is assessing the building to decide whether it needs repairs before reopening to the public after the earthquake of August 10, 2026, and the Valle del Cauca government confirmed on September 9 that it will stay closed while the work is done. Check the reopening date on the museum’s page at inciva.gov.co.

The Federico Carlos Lehmann Departmental Natural Science Museum displays model plants and animals from across Colombia. It covers other areas of science too, but its main attraction is its collection of taxidermy animals.
